More Christmas Treats

Indulge yourself into the festivities at Herald & Heart once again this Saturday. Plunge into Christmas shopping while you sip on our favourite Yuletide tipple- eggnog.

Eggcellent Eggnog

2 Pints of whole milk
6 Eggs
1 vanilla pod
50g caster sugar
200ml brandy
Pour the milk, eggs, caster sugar and split vanilla pod into a saucepan. Place on a gentle heat,stir occasionally   waiting for the mixture thicken enough to coat the back of the spoon- but please do not let it boil!

Divide the brandy between glasses, pour over the eggnog and dust the top lightly with some good quality cocoa powder.

Now sip away I front of a roaring open fire.
The eggnog can be served warm or can be left to chill before serving.
